Watch Father of the Year, Governor Christie Dance 'Like a Dad'

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has been no stranger to the entertainment spotlight since taking over in Trenton in 2009.

But Thursday night was a first, as the Livingston native poked fun at his own dance abilities by joining Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" in a popular segment called "The Evolution of Dance."

This time around, the segment was tailored for "The Evolution of Dad Dance." Christie was recently honored by the Father's Day/Mother's Day Council as Father of the Year.

Christie and Fallon spent more than two minutes doing "dad" dances while wearing tucked-in polo shirts and khakis. The dances were mostly tame until Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run" came on and the governor – a diehard fan – let loose with some air guitar and a few Jersey fist pumps.

But what would a light-hearted entertainment piece be without a poke at the now infamous Bridgegate scandal? Fallon wagged his finger in the air while subtitles read "This Bridge is Closed," and Christie feigned anger and walked off the stage. 

Of course, he came right back out once a "Born to Run" started again, as you'll see in the video above.
