Welcome To Parisppany! Typo On Road Sign Goes Unnoticed For Months

The typo should be fixed soon, after raising eyebrows for months.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Drivers on Route 202 in Morris County have noticed something strange about a sign directing them into Parsippany-- specifically, Parsippany itself is misspelled.

The new sign went up sometime after roadwork was completed in 2015, and directs drivers onto Route 287 to Lake "Parispanny," CBS reported.

The typo was noticed about a month ago, and a replacement is expected to arrive next week, Department of Transportation spokesman Stephen Schapiro told NJ.com. Issues with safety related signs are given priority, which explains the delay in replacing the sign.
