After being found underweight and neglected, he’s receiving care at Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, where staff say his sweet, playful personality is emerging and donations are being sought for his medical needs.

Little Larry Doby Field Set for $1.36 Million Upgrade (tapinto.net) — Paterson is investing $1.36 million to upgrade Little Larry Doby Field with new turf, lighting, and fencing for local Little League players. Work by The Landtek Group is expected to finish within 180 days, following council questions about project details and building on recent renovations at nearby Larry Doby Field honoring Paterson legend Larry Doby.

3. Paterson man killed in early morning crash on Route 21 in Passaic (njherald.com) — A 32-year-old Paterson man died after an early morning crash involving two Toyota Camrys on Route 21 near the Dayton Avenue exit in Passaic on July 6. Both drivers were taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, and prosecutors are still investigating, asking anyone with information to contact the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Twelve Lottery Players Win $10,000 or More in New Jersey in One Week (wrat.com) — A Paterson player bought a Money Vault Bingo ticket at Duarte on Rosa Parks Boulevard and scored a $100,000 win during a big week for New Jersey lottery prizes. Residents are urged to avoid driving through standing water, watch for rapidly rising floods in low-lying areas, and stay alert for hazards like downed power lines and lingering power outages as conditions slowly improve.
