Congressman Tom Kean Jr. and multiple state and county officials praised the investment, saying it will boost crime prevention, investigations, and overall public safety for Phillipsburg residents.
   

• Phillipsburg Officials Shut Down Rumors of DPW Trash Collection Privatization (tapinto.net) — Phillipsburg officials are firmly denying renewed social media rumors that the town plans to privatize garbage collection or cut Department of Public Works jobs. Council members and Mayor Randy Piazza Jr. stressed their support for DPW workers, citing staffing challenges but insisting there are no discussions or proposals to outsource trash service or change the department’s structure.
