• DOE and Princeton University extend, strengthen partnership (princeton.edu) — A major federal-university partnership that anchors Plainsboro's Forrestal Campus is set to continue, as the U.S. Department of Energy has extended Princeton University's contract to run the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. The five-year extension starting in 2027 will support expanded fusion, microelectronics, quantum, and AI research, plus infrastructure upgrades and new industry collaborations that can strengthen Plainsboro's role in New Jersey's innovation economy.
