Donald R. Lansing, Vietnam War Veteran, Dies At 66

Services for lifelong Point Pleasant resident will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Donald R. Lansing, 66, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick.

Don was a lifelong resident of Point Pleasant. He worked as a logistics expert for the United States Government at Fort Monmouth in Eatontown. He served in the United States Army Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Don was a member and past Commander of the VFW Post #5698 in Brick and a member of the Vietnam Veterans Association of Ocean and Monmouth Counties. He loved karaoke and gardening, and was a talented guy who could do and fix anything.

Don is survived by three sisters, Ruth Winder and her husband Edward of Brick; Diana Pagdon of Point Pleasant; and Deborah Quinn and her husband Keith of Scotch Plains; two nieces and one nephew, Stephanie DeNicolo, Kerri Quinn, and Sean Quinn; and his grandnieces and grandnephews Joshua, Emily, and Ashley DeNicolo and Aidan Quinn.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at the Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Highway 88, Brick. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
