Lightning Strikes Grenville Hotel-Restaurant In Bay Head: Photos
Lightning struck a prominent bed-and-breakfast in Bay Head.

Lightning struck a prominent hotel and restaurant in Bay Head during thunderstorms that flooded the Point Pleasant area on Monday, according to fire officials (see photos below).
The Mantoloking Fire Department and the Barnegat Bay Island Facebook page shared photos of the lightning strike, which took off a piece of the roof of the building.
Grenville representatives told Patch they are dealing with the situation and the place remains open to the public.

The building boasts a rich history that's 100 Yards from the Beach, one mile from the Point Pleasant Beach Boardwalk and a short walk to the Bay Head downtown.
