NEW JERSEY – More than 12 inches of fell in some parts of New Jersey, but the Point Pleasant area was largely spared from the worst of the storm.

About 2.2 inches fell in the Point Pleasant area, and enough rain fell to create a bit of a traffic mess in the region. A coastal flood advisory and a winter weather advisory, however, were in effect in the area until about 4 a.m., and a total of 1-3 inches of snow was expected.

Gov. Phil Murphy and state officials said roads were being "clobbered" by the storm, and local highways also experienced problems. Read more: NJ Weather: 275 Crashes, Roads 'Clobbered' In NJ Snowstorm
