New Parking Meter System In Point Pleasant Beach

A new parking meter system is up and running in Point Pleasant Beach.

The borough's new pay-by-number parking system is up and operational in the beachfront area, police said.

Enforcement runs 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, unless otherwise posted, until October 31st.

The Point Pleasant Beach Council approved a new parking meter ordinance earlier this month.

Point Pleasant Beach's website says parking fees are in effect in the borough from March 1st thru October 31st – except for the train station lot.

There have been different parking systems throughout town, including traditional parking meters, "Pay and Display" and "Pay by Number." There are signs posted designating each system and instructions.
