A plane at Newark Liberty International Airport was evacuated on Saturday, according to the Port Authority.
Approximately 150 people were evacuated after the suspicious item was found.
A flight attendant on JetBlue flight 573 saw a suspicious item and alerted authorities around 7:45 a.m., according to the airline.

JetBlue released a statement, saying: “JetBlue flight 573 scheduled to depart this morning from Newark to Tampa has been delayed for additional security screenings out of an abundance of caution."
“Local law enforcement is on site and we are working to get customers on their way to Tampa as soon as possible."

The flight departed Newark at 11:27 a.m. and is now scheduled to arrive in Tampa at 1:54 p.m., the airline said.
