• Lanes to Close For Three Months Along Lovelandtown Bridge Over Point Pleasant Canal (shorebeat.com) — Expect months of lane shifts on the Lovelandtown Bridge over the Point Pleasant Canal starting Sept. 15, with right lanes closing first, then left lanes through late December. One sidewalk will always remain open to keep beach and school routes accessible, but drivers should plan for delays and slower traffic while crews fix heat-related expansion issues on the 1971 span.
   

• New Jersey Lottery players hit $1.2 million prize spree in just seven days (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A recent New Jersey Lottery winning streak included a $10,000 ticket sold at Country Farms in Point Pleasant Beach, putting the borough on the statewide winners list. In all, 17 tickets across New Jersey brought in at least $10,000, totaling $1.2 million in prizes from various draw games and Scratch-Offs. Courier services also figured into several of the big wins.
