Snowstorm Prompts Closure Of Point Pleasant Beach Schools

The district announced the closure as snow fell at 1 to 2 inches per hour and was expected to continue into Monday.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — Heavy snowfall and anticipated dangerous travel conditions have prompted a snow day for the Point Pleasant Beach School District.

The closure was announced Sunday afternoon for Monday's classes.

"In anticipation of forecast weather, Point Pleasant Beach Schools are closed tomorrow, Monday January 26, 2026," the district said.

The district's calendar has three emergency closure days built in.

Also closed are the Ocean County Vocational-Technical Schools. The vo-tech district also canceled evening adult education classes scheduled for Monday.
