A Facebook Live user caught thundersnow – and lightning – while taking a video of the waves at the north end of Point Pleasant Beach on Wednesday (see video below).
Thundersnow was part of the "unprecedented" nor'easter snow that left a lot of damage in its path on Wednesday in New Jersey, with more than 2 feet of snow falling in some spots, a countless number downed trees and wires and more than 300,000 without power. The Facebook page "Barnegat Bay Island, NJ" captured the sound and fear of thundersnow once it hit the Point Pleasant Beach area on Wednesday. Here are some of the narrator's responses:
