Water Conservation Measures Instituted In Point Pleasant

Soaring temperatures and a lack of rain have put pressure on the water system, officials said.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Point Pleasant is putting water conservation measures in place because of pressure on the water system from a lack of rain and high temperatures.

Borough officials said the town is instituting odd-even watering restrictions as a result.

"Due to the recent lack of rainfall coupled with the expected high summer temperatures, our water system has been operating at or near full capacity," officials said. "Please exercise all means possible to conserve water and to follow the outside water use restrictions."
