The repairs are expected to cost about $300,000. They'll be undertaken by Walker Diving Underwater Construction LLC of Hammonton, according to The Asbury Park Press.

The four-lane bridge is about 130 feet in length and was last rehabilitated in 1983, according to the Press. A plaque placed at the center of the span indicates that the bridge was named in 2000 for Richard E. Lane, a former longtime county engineer.
