2 Charged With Attempted Murder After Shooting In Mercer County: Police
The victim remained in critical condition as of Friday.
One person is in critical condition and two other people are in custody following a shooting in Mercer County this week.
Tommy Allen, 20, and Darryl Milton, 23, both of Trenton, have been charged with attempted murder and weapons charges following a shooting that occurred just before 10 p.m. on Aug. 22 in the 900 block of Southard Street, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office. The victim took himself to the hospital, and remained in critical condition as of Friday.
Allen was arrested without incident at his Centre Street residence in Trenton late Thursday night by members of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, the Trenton Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Those same agencies then arrested Milton inside a residence in the 400 block of Chambers Street early Friday morning.
The Mercer County Narcotics Task Force says it found a half-pound of marijuana and $10,000 in cash during a subsequent raid at Allen’s home.

The prosecutor’s office has filed motions to detain both suspects. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
