2 Parked Cars Reported Stolen In Princeton: Police

Princeton police release their weekly activity report.

PRINCETON, NJ — Two cars were recently stolen while they were parked in Princeton, police said Friday morning. One car was reportedly stolen from the municipal lot on Witherspoon Street between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on July 2. The other was stolen on Brooks Bend between midnight at 1:20 p.m. on July 4.

The stolen cars were reported as part of the Princeton Police Department’s activity report posted online on Friday. All incidents are merely accusations, and those accused are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.

In addition to the two stolen cars, a bicycle was stolen on Witherspoon Street sometime between 10 p.m. on June 30 and 9 a.m. on July 1. Also, on June 25, a resident reported seeing a person breaking into a parked car on Leigh Avenue through the back window. The owner reported that $100 was stolen from the car.

Samuel Council, 44, of Ewing, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop for failure to keep right on South Harrison Street on June 24. Council was transported to police headquarters, processed and released to a sober adult.

Jorge Saborido-Tamarit, 18, of Princeton, was found in possession of marijuana under 50 grams following a traffic stop for multiple violations on Hodge Road on June 27. Saborido-Tamarit was arrested, processed and released with a pending court date.

David Feinberg, 19, of East Windsor, was found in possession of marijuana under 50 grams after police checked on a suspicious vehicle in Marquand Park on Lovers Lane after hours on June 30. Feinberg was arrested, processed and released with a pending court date.

Benjamin Konrad, 26, of Ewing, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop for an illegal turn on Nassau Street on June 30. Konrad was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released to a sober adult.

Ryan Dougherty, 35, of Lawrenceville, was found to be driving while intoxicated after police checked on a car that was parked in a travel lane on Park Place on July 4. Dougherty was arrested, processed and released to a sober adult.
