2 Rescued From Overturned Car In Princeton: Police
The three-car accident took place Tuesday evening.

PRINCETON, NJ — Two people had to be rescued from a car that flipped over and landed on its side following a three-car accident in Princeton Tuesday night, according to police.
Zhaoying Yang, 45, of Princeton, ran a stop sign at Valley Road while driving his red Acura RDX south on Walnut Lane at about 6:06 p.m. on Aug. 1, Princeton police said Wednesday afternoon.
The Acura entered the intersection and struck the front bumper of a silver Toyota Prius that was traveling east on Valley Road, police said. This car was driven by 31-year-old Christina Lee, of Plainsboro.

After striking the Toyota, the Acura collided with a blue Subaru Forester that was stopped at the intersection on Walnut Lane and was facing north, according to police. This car was driven by 74-year-old Richard Schatzman, of Stockton.
The Acura then flipped, rotated in a counter-clockwise rotation and landed on the passenger side of the vehicle on Walnut Lane. The Acura sustained heavy passenger side, driver side, and front end damage, including airbag deployment.

Zhaoying Yang had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad. Yang suffered minor abrasions in both arms from the shattered glass and was taken to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro for treatment.
Zhicai Yang, who was sitting in the back seat of the Acura, also had to be also extracted from the vehicle by the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad. Zhicai Yang suffered serious injuries to his upper body and was transported to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro for treatment.
A 12-year-old girl was sitting in the front seat of the Acura. She was also taken to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro for an injury to her face. She also complained of pain in her abdominal area.
The Toyota sustained heavy front end damage, including air bag deployment. Lee did not report any injuries and refused further medical attention from the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad.
The Subaru sustained heavy front end damage, including air bag deployment. Schatzman did not report any injuries, but he was transported to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro by the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad for observations.
The Toyota and Subaru were both towed from the scene by Boro Collision out of Hopewell. The Acura was towed by Mother’s Recovery Inc. out of Pennington.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Ptl. Michael Schubert of the Traffic Safety Bureau. More information will be provided when it becomes available.
