2 Seriously Injured After Vehicles Collide In Mercer County: PD
Princeton-Hightstown Road, as well as Clarksville Road, was closed for around two hours on Sunday evening after the crash.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Two people sustained serious injuries after two vehicles collided at a traffic signal in Mercer County Sunday, West Windsor Police said.
On Sunday, Feb. 27, at around 4:57 pm, West Windsor PD Patrol Units and the Traffic Unit responded to the intersection of Princeton-Hightstown Road at Clarksville Road on a report of a serious motor vehicle collision.
According to the initial investigation, a 2005 Ford Taurus was traveling west on Princeton-Hightstown Road while approaching a green traffic signal at Clarksville Road and was attempting to turn left onto Clarksville Road. At the same time, a 1999 Honda Accord was traveling east on Princeton-Hightstown Road while approaching the green traffic signal at the Clarksville Road intersection.

The Ford Taurus turned into the direct path of the Honda Accord resulting in the vehicles colliding at the intersection, police said. The driver and front-seat passenger of the Ford Taurus, residents of Jackson, NJ suffered minor injuries. They were taken to Penn Medicine at Princeton Hospital.
The rear driver's side passenger of the car, a resident of Canada, suffered a serious head injury, and was taken to Capital Health Fuld Campus (Trauma), police said.

The driver of the Honda Accord sustained serious injuries and was transported to Capital Health Hopewell Campus, authorities said.
Princeton-Hightstown Road, as well as Clarksville Road, was closed for around two hours after the crash.
