3 Arrested, $400K In Drugs Seized During Mercer County Bust: Prosecutor

Three people were arrested and about $430,000 in drugs and cash were seized following a month-long investigation, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said on Wednesday. On Thursday afternoon, Oct. 12, officers with the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Hamilton and Trenton police departments, under the command of the prosecutor’s Special Investigations Unit, executed multiple search warrants in Hamilton and Trenton.

Felix Feliciano, 36, of Hamilton, was arrested at his home, where a search revealed a small amount of marijuana and $11,000 in cash, detectives said. He is charged with possession of marijuana more than 50 grams.

Richard Bruno, 36, of Hamilton, is charged with possession of marijuana, first-degree possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they also found $63,300 in cash and 672 vials of THC oil during the search.

Joseann Sonera, 36, of Trenton, was arrested at his home after detectives said they found about 20 grams of powder cocaine, a cocaine press and assorted drug paraphernalia. He is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with the intent to distribute, possession with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, possession with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The seized marijuana has an approximate street value of $411,000, according to Detective Sergeant Brian Kiely of the MCNTF. The THC oil, used in vape pens and modules, has an approximate street value of $23,500. In addition, two bank accounts belonging to Bruno, totaling more than $91,000 in drug sale proceeds, were ordered frozen by the court. All three men were released pending future court proceedings.
