$3K Shoplifting, $5K Fraud Reported Out Of Princeton: Police

A Mercer County fugitive's arrest was also reported in the latest Princeton police report.

PRINCETON, NJ — A Princeton retail store recently reported that an unknown woman stole over $3,000 in merchandise, Princeton police said on Tuesday. The owner of Zoe Inc. on Nassau Street reported that the woman stole one designer handbag and three designer wallets worth a total of $3,335 on Dec. 1, according to the Princeton Police Department.

She was described as a white female in her late 20's, with long blonde hair and wearing a khaki green jacket. She was accompanied by an apparent accomplice, and the two left the store on foot in an unknown direction.
The owners of the store alerted police, but responding officers were unable to find them during a subsequent search of the area.

The incident was reported on Tuesday as part of the police department’s activity report. The following incidents were also reported. They are merely accusations, and those accused are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.

A Princeton resident recently reported that they were defrauded out of over $5,000 while attempting to rent a property on Airbnb. While attempting to rent the property, an unknown person posed as the owner and convinced her husband to wire transfer $5,412.01 to a fraudulent account.

Dilaaftab Sandhu, 24, of Bordentown, was found to have a suspended NJ Driver's License and an active ATS warrant out of Hightstown Boro in the amount of $205 following a traffic stop for a loud exhaust on the 100 block of Bayard Lane on Dec. 4 at 12:13 a.m. Sandhu was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued motor vehicle summonses with a pending court date and released upon posting bail.

The Princeton Recreation Department reported that a goose deterrent light at Community Park South was possibly vandalized or merely broken accidentally. The light sustained $340 worth of damage during an undetermined time frame.

Ren Omar Guzman-Garcia, 23, of Trenton, was found to be a wanted person by Trenton police following a traffic stop for failure to inspect and no signage on a commercial vehicle on the 100 block of State Road on Dec. 3 at 9:47 a.m. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana under 50 grams and drug paraphernalia. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued complaint summonses with a pending court date and turned over to the Trenton Police Department.

Bastian Rodriguez-Guerrero, 23, of Princeton, was arrested on a no bail, NCIC warrant from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department at about 9 p.m. on Nov. 29. He was arrested on Witherspoon Street after police spotted him at Publix Liquor. A hit confirmation was then sent to, and confirmed by, the sheriff’s department. Rodriguez-Guerrero was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed and transported to the Mercer County Correctional Facility.
