4 Bikes Stolen From Homes In Princeton: Police
Princeton police release their weekly activity report.
PRINCETON, NJ — Four bicycles were stolen from Princeton homes earlier this month, according to the police department.
Between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Aug. 8, a “Raleigh Sprite” bicycle worth about $400 was stolen from the front of a home on the 200 block of Nassau Street.
Two bicycles, a bike lock, helmet and bike light worth about $761 were stolen from the back porch of a home on the 100 block of Nassau Street between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Aug. 7. The following day, one of the bikes and the helmet were returned to the porch. The total value stolen that was not returned is $531.

Between 6:30 p.m. on Aug 3 and 10 a.m. on Aug. 4, a “Tot Tote” bicycle trailer worth about $150 was stolen from behind 38 Nassau Street.
The thefts were reported as part of the Princeton Police Department’s weekly activity report posted on the town’s website. All incidents are merely accusations, and those accused are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.

On Aug. 13, a woman filed an identity theft report after she was denied a credit card that she didn’t apply for.
Joey Thomas, 30, of Princeton, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and having three warrants issued for his arrest by Trenton Municipal Court after he was stopped for failure to stop at a stop sign and speeding on the 100 block of Jefferson Road on Aug. 12. Thomas was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued several motor vehicle summonses with a pending court date and released on his own recognizance by Trenton Municipal Court with a new court date. Thomas was also charged with operating a motor vehicle During a period of license suspension and released to a sober adult.
Courtney Williams, 33, of Ewing, was found to have an active warrant out of Lawrence Township Municipal Court in the amount of $900 when she was stopped for speeding on Terhune Road on Aug. 12. Williams was taken to police headquarters, where she was processed, issued a speeding summons with a pending court date and subsequently released on her own recognizance by Lawrence Township Municipal Court.
On Aug. 10, a Crestview Drive resident reported receiving a check in the mail from a man posing as a potential tenant, as payment for a room rental. The victim deposited the check without incident. However, the man requested a refund in the form of a wire transfer from Walmart. After the victim complied, he became suspicious and discovered the check was fraudulent and the man used a false identity.
Terryl Williams Jr., 23, of Trenton, was arrested on an active warrant in the amount of $650 issued by Lawrence Township Municipal Court following a traffic stop for an improper turn on Edgehill Street on Aug.10. Williams Jr. was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued a summons with a pending court date and subsequently turned over to Lawrence Township Police Department.
Edward Degarmo, 23, of Trenton, was arrested for having three active warrants following a traffic stop for inspection, seatbelt and commercial vehicle violations on North Harrison Street on Aug. 8. One warrant was out of Hamilton Township Municipal Court for $500, and two were out of Trenton Municipal Court for $125 each. Degarmo was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued several summonses with a pending court date and released after posting $750 bail.
On Aug. 8, at 2:30 p.m., an unknown Hispanic woman in her late 20s with long dark blond hair with lots of highlights went into Metropolis Spa Salon. She received $297 worth of services before leaving the business without paying The woman provided a false name and contact information.
