4 Cars Burglarized During Softball Game In Mercer Co.: Police

MERCER COUNTY, NJ - Four cars were burglarized in West Windsor during a softball tournament held recently, police said Wednesday.

On June 26, West Windsor police officers reached Community Park on a report of a motor vehicle burglary. While on the scene, three additional vehicle burglaries were reported, authorities said.

All the burglarized cars were parked near the softball fields where a tournament was being held. Two vehicles were unlocked, and the other two were locked but had their rear side windows smashed to gain entry, police said.

The incident occurred between 2 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.

Purses, backpacks, and other items were stolen from inside the vehicles.
