4 Cars Burglarized In Princeton Last Weekend: Police

Princeton police release their activity report.

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton police are investigating burglaries involving four unlocked cars that took place earlier this week.

The first incident occurred between 9:30 p.m. on June 9 and 7:15 a.m. on June 10 on Ridgeview Road, Princeton police announced. An unknown person took $200 in cash from a wallet that was in the center console of a car that was parked in the home’s driveway.

Two cars were burglarized at a home on Princeton-Kingston Road sometime between 7 p.m. on June 10 and 11:20 a.m. on June 11. Items were moved around in both cars that were parked in the home’s unlocked garage, but nothing appears to have been stolen.

On June 12, a Lawrenceville Road resident reported that his white Audi may have been burglarized and that an unknown actor may have stolen his wallet containing about $700 and multiple credit cards. The car was parked and possibly unlocked in his driveway, and there were no signs of forced entry.

They were reported as part of Princeton’s weekly police report, which was posted on the town’s website. All incidents are merely accusations, and those accused are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.

Five pieces of jewelry worth a total of $22,350 were stolen from a home on Hibben Road between June and December of last year.

Daniel Montesinos, 39, of Princeton, was arrested for hindering his own apprehension following a traffic stop for local overweight vehicle violation on Mercer Road on June 12. Montesinos was taken to police headquarters, where he was issued a special complaint, motor vehicle summonses and a pending court date for his violations and released on his own recognizance.

Margaret Manza, 39, of Metuchen, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following an accident on Mercer Street on June 9. She was taken to police headquarters, where she was processed, issued several motor vehicle summonses with a pending court date and released to a sober adult.

Tony Harris, 55, of Princeton, was arrested for driving while Intoxicated on June 9. A 9-1-1 caller reported a possible intoxicated driver on Lover's Lane heading toward Stockton Street. Patrols located the vehicle on Stockton Street traveling north. Police stopped the car and arrested Harris. He was taken to police headquarters for processing, issued several motor vehicles with pending court dates and released to a sober adult.

Gnadre Zoko, 27, of Newark, was arrested on an active warrant in the amount of $114 out of East Orange Municipal Court following a traffic stop for a turning violation on Witherspoon Street on June 8.He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued a motor vehicle summons with a pending court date and released on his own recognizance per East Orange Municipal Court.
