$4K In Cash Stolen From Princeton Garden Theater

Princeton Police also reported a cell phone was stolen at a playground on Paul Robeson Place.

PRINCETON, NJ — A theft from the Princeton Garden Theater was reported recently.

On Jan. 21 at 11:50 a.m. about $4,000 in cash was stolen from the nightly deposit safe in the theater on Nassau Street.

On Jan. 22 at 10:59 p.m.: Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Chambers Street, the driver, Julio Bautisto, 24, of Princeton was found to have an active criminal warrant for $2,500 out of Princeton. Bautisto was also charged with obstructing the administration of law. He posted his bail and was released on his own recognizance.

On Jan. 20 at 6:07 p.m.: Subsequent to an investigation into a theft of a wallet that occurred on Nov. 19, two suspects were arrested. On Jan. 17, Selena Tzul-Cano, 23, of Trenton was arrested for theft, theft of a credit card, and unlawful use of a credit card. She was later released on a summons. On Jan. 21, Jayfi Santos-Gomez, 23, of Trenton was arrested for theft, theft of a credit card, and unlawful use of a credit card. He was later released on a summons.

On Jan. 19 at 8:56 p.m.: The victim reported that on Jan. 19 between 3:45 and 4 p.m. someone stole their Samsumg Galaxy S8+ cell phone from the playground on Paul Robeson Place. The phone is valued at approximately $300.

On Jan. 21 at 5:27 p.m.: The victim reported that on Sept. 25, 2019, someone stole various pieces of jewelry from their residence on Sassafrass Row. The value of stolen item, a solid gold bracelet, is approximately $850. The value of the other stolen items, a gold ring and a silver bracelet, is unknown at this time.
