Route 1 Reopened After 5-Car Accident: Police
There were two accidents causing delays in the area on Monday. Residual traffic remains.
WEST WINDSOR, NJ — Two accidents that were causing delays in the area of Route 1 north have been cleared, police said late Monday afternoon.
There was a five-car accident and an oil spill that closed two lanes of Route 1 north earlier in the day. A short time later, an accident at Route 1 north and Washington Road compounded the delays.
Both accidents have since been cleared, but residual traffic volume remains. There was no immediate word on any injuries related to the crash.
