Alexander Road To Reopen On Tuesday Following Bridge Closure

The Stony Brook Bridge crossing in Princeton was closed following a recent inspection by Mercer County Department of Transportation.

PRINCETON, NJ — Alexander Road will reopen a couple days early on Tuesday after it was closed for a week for emergency bridge repair, Princeton Mayor Liz Lempert announced.

The Stony Brook Bridge crossing Alexander Street in Princeton was closed following a recent inspection by Mercer County Department of Transportation on Monday, April 8. It had been estimated to close for a total of about 10 days. (See Related: Emergency Bridge Repair Closes Alexander Road For 10 Days)

The roadway will reopen at 3 p.m. on April 16. However the road will continue to be closed by PSE&G on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. until work is complete, Lempert said.
