Concerts' 5th Anniversary Season Opener (patch.com) β Princeton residents can hear Alec Baldwin discuss how classical music has shaped his life during a special Music & Healing event at Princeton University Concerts on September 19. Hosted at Richardson Auditorium with live performances by pianist Tony Siqi Yun, the program opens the series' fifth anniversary season and highlights the university's ongoing exploration of music's role in personal well-being.

2. Forward, March, and Raise Your Cameras. Join the 'Bioblitz' at Princeton Battlefield (tapinto.net) β You're invited to help catalog wildlife at Princeton Battlefield now through the end of August, using your smartphone and the iNaturalist app to support Sustainable Princeton's multi-year Bioblitz. The data will guide ecological upgrades, including a historically accurate heirloom apple orchard and native meadow, as part of the Reimagining Princeton initiative. Volunteers of all ages can participate on their own schedule.

Women's Soccer Picked First in Ivy League Preseason Poll (goprincetontigers.com) β Princeton women's soccer has been picked to finish first in the Ivy League preseason poll, positioning the Tigers for a possible third straight conference title. After hosting and winning recent Ivy tournaments and rallying for back-to-back championships, Princeton again enters the fall as the league's team to beat.

Another Episode in Princeton's Wild Kingdom β The Screech Owl Who Didn't Want to Go Home (tapinto.net) β Princeton's animal control team recently rehabilitated and released two young screech owls found near the Butler Tract, though one briefly tried to move back into the truck instead of the woods. Officials say the owls are now in ideal habitat and remind residents to call Animal Control or a licensed rehabilitator before handling young wildlife.
