• Princeton Preservation Panel To Hear Update On Battlefield Landscape Restoration (patch.com) — Residents following changes at Princeton Battlefield State Park will see detailed plans for a major landscape rehabilitation, including tree removals, new plantings, and historically informed fence lines tied to the 1777 Battle of Princeton. The Historic Preservation Commission will review the fall 2026 phase in an advisory capacity, as state and nonprofit partners invest more than $600,000 to restore trails, meadows, and signage while meeting preservation standards.
• Princeton University Art Museum Announces Basquiat, the Blue Ribbon Paintings, and the Art of Reproduction (princeton.edu) — Princeton residents can soon explore a major Basquiat exhibition at the Princeton University Art Museum, running October 4, 2026, through January 31, 2027. The show reunites his Blue Ribbon paintings and highlights his innovative use of printmaking and reproduction. With free admission, new public programs, and expanded museum facilities on campus and Nassau Street, it's a significant cultural event close to home.
• Tomás García Appointed Assistant Conductor of Princeton Symphony Orchestra (theviolinchannel.com) — Princeton's own Symphony Orchestra has appointed Ecuadorian conductor Tomás García as its new assistant conductor, supporting Music Director Rossen Milanov and leading the PSO's youth orchestra partner. His background with youth music programs and opera companies nationwide should bring fresh energy to local performances and educational outreach.
