Princeton's Light Pollution Problem Persists – This Time Blame PSE&G (tapinto.net) — Princeton officials are wrestling with unwanted pedestrian lights installed on Terhune Road after PSE&G proceeded despite a requested hold, extending a broader fight over light pollution that began on Witherspoon Street. Local engineers, council members, and advocates are pressing the utility for darker‑sky, warmer fixtures that protect habitats and night skies while safely lighting Princeton's streets.
3. If you give a tiger a cookie: celebrating 50 years of Murray-Dodge Café (dailyprincetonian.com) — Murray-Dodge Café at Princeton University just marked its 50th anniversary with free cookies, commemorative mugs, and student performances that drew more than 260 attendees. A student writer describes how the cozy, social study spot has become a beloved refuge during stressful times, from hailstorms to finals, helping Princeton students build friendships and community late into the night.
4. A 1968 book and Princeton writer helped preserve NJ's Pinelands (app.com) — Princeton resident and author John McPhee reflects on how his 1968 book "The Pine Barrens" helped spur protections that preserved New Jersey's Pinelands from massive development. His long friendship with former Gov.
