
New Brunswick, NJ—State Theatre will honor Princeton resident, State Theatre Vice-Chairman, and Vice President of Global Benefits and Health Resources for Johnson & Johnson, Efrem B. Dlugacz, at this year’s State Theatre Benefit Gala held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 and featuring Liza Minnelli in Concert.
Efrem Dlugacz, a resident of Princeton for 17 years, is Vice President of Global Benefits and Health Resources for Johnson & Johnson. In this capacity he is responsible for the Corporation’s benefits strategy for over 100,000 global employees. He has been with Johnson & Johnson for 22 years.
Dlugacz was a member of the Princeton Landing Board and is currently a member at Green Acres Country Club in Lawrenceville.

As part of Efrem’s J&J Credo responsibility and giving back to the community in which he works, he asked to be involved with the State Theatre. J&J was able to facilitate his appointment to the Board of which he has been a member for 12 years—presently as the Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees. He is also a member of the Executive and Finance Committees.
Along with Ann Asbaty of Cigna (also an honoree at this year’s State Theatre Benefit Gala) Dlugacz has co-chaired the State Theatre annual fundraising Gala for nine years raising over $5 million.

Efrem earned his B.S. from Cornell University in 1972 and his M.S. Industrial & Labor Relations/Manpower Development degree from Cornell University in 1974. He has four children and two grandchildren.
Gala Information
The Gala festivities begin at 5pm at The Heldrich Hotel and the performance will begin at 6pm. In addition to the concert, Gala guests will enjoy a reception, dinner with reserved seating, open bar, dancing, and live entertainment. The Benefit Gala, the State Theatre’s biggest annual event, underwrites the State Theatre’s artistically acclaimed programming and nationally recognized education programs. A portion of each ticket price represents a tax-deductible contribution to the State Theatre. Concert tickets range from $37-$127. For concert only tickets, call 732-246-SHOW (7469). The State Theatre Benefit Gala will also honor Prudential Financial, Inc. and Ann. H. Asbaty, State Theatre Trustee and Chief Operating Officer, National Segment, Cigna. This year’s Leadership Award in the Arts will be presented to The Star-Ledger. The Star-Ledger is New Jersey’s largest local newspaper and has a long tradition of support for the educational and artistic community.
About the Gala Artist
Liza Minnelli, a Tony®, Oscar®, Grammy®, Golden Globe®, and Emmy® Award-winning entertainer performs live with a 7-piece band. Program will include signature hits like “New York, New York” and “Cabaret” as well as songs from Liza's critically acclaimed album, Confessions. After her recent concert appearance at Town Hall on March 13, The Village Voice raved “... Liza was sparkly and exciting, and kept getting standing ovation after standing ovation for being so full throttle all night.”
