Man Assaulted By Pair Of Suspects In Princeton: Police

PRINCETON, NJ — A man was assaulted by two unknown people near the Yankee Doodle Tap Room on Palmer Square East on Nov. 22, the Princeton Police Department said on Thursday.
The victim described one of his assailants as a white man, standing 6’2” and wearing a white shirt and black pants. The other assailant was described as a Hispanic man who stands about 5’10” and was wearing flannel. A search of the area yielded no suspects.
The attack took place across the street from the Yankee Doodle Tap Room, in the John Street Alley, police said. The victim made his way across the street to the establishment, as it was the only place open at that hour. Management found him conscious and talking on the patio, and contacted police about the incident, according to a spokesperson.

The victim was transported by the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad to University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro for treatment of a 2-inch laceration, police said.
The following information was also provided by the Princeton Police Department as part of its blotter on Thursday. Incidents are merely accusations. Those accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.

A victim reported that an unidentified suspect "hacked" into an employee’s email account and used it to send fictitious invoices to another employee, which resulted in an unauthorized payment of $15,980.90 to the hacker.
A victim reported that her purse was stolen while she was at the Ivy Inn between 1:15 a.m. and 1:20 a.m. on Nov. 25 The purse contained her wallet and cell phone. The victim used the Find my iPhone app and tracked the signal to Moore Street and Park Place, where she located it and her purse. However, her credit cards were taken and used to make two fraudulent transactions.
A 17-year-old was arrested for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop for a suspicious vehicle on the unimproved private portion of Springdale Road on Nov. 25 at 7:32 p.m. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued complaint summonses with pending court dates and released to the custody of a parent.
Alexander Chikunov, 54, of Princeton, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a one-car accident on the 300 block of Hamilton Avenue at 12:53 a.m. on Nov. 24. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued several motor vehicle summonses with a pending court date and released to a sober adult.
Albino De La Luz, 41, of New Brunswick, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop for failure to maintain lane on the 1000 block of Princeton-Kingston Road at 12:48 a.m. on Nov. 23. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued several motor vehicle summonses with a pending court date and released to a sober adult.
