Autopsy Reveals Missing Princeton Student’s Cause Of Death

PRINCETON, NJ —Princeton University student Misrach Ewunetie’s death has been officially ruled a suicide, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said Wednesday.

The autopsy was recently concluded by the Middlesex Regional Medical Examiner’s Office and Ewunetie’s death was ruled a suicide.

“The cause of her death was determined to be ‘Bupropion, Escitalopram and Hydroxyzine Toxicity,’” the County prosecutor’s office said.

Ewunetie's body was found outside on the facilities grounds behind the tennis courts at around 1 p.m. on Oct. 20 by an employee after she had been missing for six days. More: Body Of Missing Princeton Student Found: Officials

At the time, Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri had said there were no obvious signs of injury and that her death does not appear suspicious or criminal in nature.

The prosecutor’s office has said that the cause of death will be reported only after all test results are received from the Middlesex Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
