YWCA Princeton’s 8th Annual ‘In the Pink’ Fashion Show

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so it’s the perfect time to support the YWCA’s Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC). They are hosting their 8th Annual In the Pink Fashion Show at the Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village Friday, October 12, 6:00 – 9:30 PM.

There are many fundraisers for breast cancer, but what sets this one apart, is that its proceeds will benefit people right here in the Princeton Area. If you’re not familiar with the BRBC, you can read this post I wrote after visiting them this past summer.

The In the Pink Fashion Show is so inspirational, and is filled with hope and celebration of life. While breast cancer is a deep topic, this event is upbeat. I went last year (read about it here) and the combination of food, drinks, lighting, music, fashion, and swag bag made it fun. I was happy to see a good amount of men amongst the attendees, and many wore pink shirts!

The auction items will be fabulous. There’s a silent and a live auction, as well as a 50/50 raffle, and you can even bid on your table’s centerpiece. There are usually wonderful gift baskets, vacation homes, restaurant gift cards, and much more, so there’s something for everyone.
