Burglaries To Car, Business Reported In Princeton
Princeton Police also reported making arrests for shoplifting, driving while intoxicated and outstanding warrants recently.
PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton Police reported burglaries to a car and business in town along with arrests for shoplifting, driving while intoxicated and more.
Princeton Police blotter:
On April 1 at 12:42 p.m.: A 16-year-old juvenile male was observed concealing a large bottle of alcohol in a bag then exiting the store in the 300 block of North Harrison Street. The complainant confronted the male and he subsequently fled on foot. The actor was able to be identified through the business’ surveillance footage.

On April 3 at 10:51 a.m.: Subsequent to a pedestrian stop on Nassau Street, Hector Munoz, 49, of Princeton was found to have an outstanding criminal warrant out of Princeton for $150. Munoz was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters where he was processed and later released on his own recognizance with a new court date.
On April 3 at 6:36 p.m.: A Murray Place victim reported that sometime between April 2 and April 3, an unknown actor used their credit card information to make two purchases totaling $4,567.56.

On April 5 at 10:03 a.m.: A Nassau Street victim reported that the company they had been using for technology assistance had attempted to defraud him of $3,000 then $5,000. The victim stated that they paid the company $3,000 as are fund for an "over payment" via cashier’s check. Once the company asked for an additional $5,000, the victim checked and realized the company and "staff" were fraudulent. The victim was able to stop the payment of the cashier’s check.
On April 7 at 1:05 a.m.: Subsequent to a report of a suspicious male, Tinashe Gwakuka, 22, of Saratoga Springs, New York was placed under arrest on Prospect Avenue for driving while intoxicated. Gwakuka was transported to headquarters where he was processed and later released to a sober adult. Gwakuka was issued several summonses.
On April 7 at 10:19 a.m.: The victim reported that sometime between 5:30 p.m. on April 6 and 9:30 a.m. on April 7, an unknown actor smashed the driver’s side window of their vehicle in the 300 block of Walnut Lane. There were no items reported missing at that time.
On April 7 at 9:54 p.m.: The complainant reported that at 4:30 p.m., two unknown male actors walked onto the business’ property in the 500 block of Great Road, entered an unlocked structure and rummaged through the property located inside. The actors then started the engine of the business’ unlocked vehicle with keys that were left inside. The actors exited the vehicle and left the premises after being confronted by a staff member. The actors also left a dent on one of the business’ vehicles. The males are both described as Caucasian and 17 to 18 years old. Two actors matching that description came onto the business property again that evening at 9:24 p.m. The actors carried flashlights but fled prior to patrol arrival.
