Burglary, Identity Theft Highlight Princeton Police Report
Princeton police release their weekly activity report.

PRINCETON, NJ — The following information was provided by the Princeton Police Department. Incidents are merely accusations. Those accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
Someone attempted to break into a home on the 600 block of Cherry Hill Road sometime between Sept. 28 and Oct. 1. No one was home at the time and nothing in the home was disturbed. There were two damaged window screens, police didn’t find an actual point of entry.
Brittani Caponegro, 24, of Somerset, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop for a cell phone violation on the 100 block of Bayard Lane at about 10:02 p.m. on Oct. 5. She was taken to police headquarters, where she was processed, issued several motor vehicle summonses with a pending court date and released to a sober adult.

A victim reports a man called their cell phone and told them they had been awarded a $15,000 grant. The caller also told the victim to pay a processing fee of $1,500 to receive the grant. The victim subsequently purchased $1,500 worth of Apple iTunes gift cards and forwarded the serial numbers to the caller. The victim was then unable claim the grant and unable to contact the caller.
A victim reported that an unknown person opened a line of credit with Citibank in the victim’s name and made $10,496 in fraudulent, unpaid charges between 2013 and July of 2017.

Eric Murdoch Jr., 21, of Bridgewater, was arrested for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for speeding and expired registration on the 100 block of Mercer Street at about 1:28 a.m. on Oct. 1. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued several motor vehicle summonses with a pending court date and released to a sober adult.
Richard Ridgway, 22, of Milltown, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated following a traffic stop for failure to maintain lane on the 900 block of Princeton-Kingston Road at about 1:06 a.m. on Sept. 29. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued several motor vehicle summonses with a pending court date and released to a sober adult.
A victim reported that an unknown person stole $34,721.40 from their home equity loan account between Sept. 15 and 29.
Jennifer Wyatt, 35, of Columbus, was found to have an active warrant out of Camden City Municipal Court in the amount of $500 following a traffic stop for maintenance of lamps and littering from a motor vehicle on the 10 block of State Road at about 9:38 a.m. on Sept. 29. Wyatt was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters, where she was processed, issued motor vehicles summonses with a pending court date and released on her own recognizance by Camden City Municipal Court.
