Burlington County Republicans Endorse Jack Ciattarelli For Governor
Ciattarelli won the endorsement on Monday.

State Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli (R-16) earned the endorsement of the Burlington County Republicans in his bid to win the Republican Party’s nomination in this year’s gubernatorial race, Ciattarelli announced on Monday.
The long list of endorsements includes Burlington County Republican Chairman William Layton, Vice Chairwoman Pat Benedetti, all five county freeholders, Sheriff Jean Stanfield, Clerk Tim Tyler, and Surrogate Mary Ann O’Brien. The total list includes over 90 Burlington County Republican officials.
Ciattarelli won the various county nominations over Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, Businessman Joseph Rullo and Nutley Commissioner Steve Rogers.

On the Democratic side, the front runner to this point is former Goldman Sachs executive and U.S. Ambassador to Germany Phil Murphy. His challengers include State Assemblymen Ray Lesniak (D-20) and John Wisniewski (D-19), among others.
The deadline to file to run in the June primaries is April 3.

Ciattarelli has also won the endorsement of Republicans in Mercer and Somerset counties, and may win the endorsement of Middlesex County Republicans this week, the Burlington County Times reports. Guadagno has won the support of Republicans in Cape May, Camden, Cumberland, Hudson, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Salem and Warren counties.
