Car Burglaries Reported Outside Princeton Gym: Police

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton police are investigating a pair of incidents in which cars were rummaged through outside a local gym recently.

On Sept. 18, police received separate reports from two people who reported that upon finishing their workouts at New York Sports Club, they each discovered that their keys had been stolen from their lockers.

Each person found that their keys were next to their cars, and each car had been rummaged through, police said. One person reported nothing appeared to have been stolen. A wallet containing $100 in cash, miscellaneous credit cards and identification was reported missing from the other car.

The incidents were reported as part of the Princeton Police Department’s report posted on the town’s website.

Both the front and rear NJ license plates # H81KNN were stolen from a car that was in the parking lot at 271 Nassau Street between 4 p.m. on Sept. 18 and 1 p.m. on Sept. 19.

Graffiti was spray painted onto two trash dumpsters at Conte’s on Witherspoon Street between 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 and 3:50 p.m. on Sept. 19.
