Route 206 Reopened, 1 Lane To Close For Pole Repair In Princeton

Route 206 has been temporarily reopened Thursday morning as of 9:35 a.m. Alternating traffic is expected to take place later today.

PRINCETON, NJ — Route 206 has been temporarily reopened Thursday morning as of 9:35 a.m. following a motor vehicle accident and a utility pole down, police reported.

Although the highway is re-opened to traffic, Verizon is mobilizing crews and will have to close one lane later today.

Alternating traffic is expected to take place between around 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. as a damaged utility pole is replaced. The traffic will be alternated in the section of Route 206 between Ewing Street and Herrontown Road, police report.

Drivers should expect delays.

The crash was initially reported at 6 a.m., which had closed the highway between Ewing Street and Herrontown Road.
