Car, Debit Card Stolen In Separate Mercer Street Thefts In Princeton

PRINCETON, NJ — Two unlocked cars were broken into on Mercer Street in Princeton earlier this week. In one incident, a credit card was stolen and used. In the other incident, the whole car was stolen, the Princeton Police Department said Friday morning.

A silver 2006 Honda Odyssey, bearing NJ registration W84BRG, was reportedly stolen from the parking lot behind 10 Mercer Street between 10 p.m. on Sept. 19 and 10:37 p.m. on Sept. 20. The key and an EZ Pass were inside the car at the time of the theft, and they were also stolen.

A Bank of America Debit Card was stolen from the center console of a Black 2015 Audi Q5 that was parked in a lot behind 22 Mercer Street between 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 19 and 9:57 a.m. on Sept. 21. The card was then used to make four unauthorized purchases. The total amount of the purchases wasn’t provided by Princeton police.

Two warrant arrests were also reported as part of Friday’s Princeton police report. The incidents are merely accusations, and those accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Dana Anderson, 40, of Trenton, was found to have an active warrant in the amount of $500 out of Princeton Municipal Court following a random license plate inquiry on the 100 block of Mercer Street on Sept. 21 at 7:18 a.m. She was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, where she was processed and released after posting her bail.

Carla Bahri, 32, of Princeton, was found to have an active warrant in the amount of $114 out of Princeton Municipal Court following a random license plate inquiry on the 200 block of Nassau Street on Sept. 22 at 1:43 a.m. She was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, where she was processed and released after her bail was posted.
