Construction Worker Dies At Mercer Co. Temple Raided By FBI: Police
The 57-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. BAPS in Robbinsville was raided last year for labor violations.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ – A 57-year-old man was killed in a construction accident in Robbinsville on Friday, Police Chief Michael K Polaski said.
The incident happened at the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha temple, also known as BAPS in Robbinsville. On Sept. 23, around 3:44 p.m. Robbinsville Police Department, and first responders were dispatched to BAPS temple on a report of a construction accident.

The 57-year-old Hillside resident was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the man is being withheld pending notification to next-of-kin.

A spokesperson from BAPS told Patch they were cooperating with law enforcement. "BAPS extends its deepest sympathies to the employees of Flats and Curbs, a subcontractor on site, and in particular to the family on the loss of their loved one. Worker safety is a priority for BAPS, and we pledge our full cooperation with law enforcement as they investigate the accident," the spokesperson said in a statement.
The incident is currently being investigated by the Robbinsville Township Police Department.
