Democrat Drops Out Of Princeton Primary Race: Report
Alvin McGowen's name will still appear on the ballot, but he is no longer officially running, the Princeton Packet reports.

PRINCETON, NJ — The Princeton Democratic Primary race is reportedly down to five candidates.
Alvin McGowen announced he was dropping out of the primary race for two open, three-year seats on Princeton Council this year, the Princeton Packet reports. McGowen’s name will still appear on the ballot because he is dropping out so late in the race. He told the newspaper he’s dropping out because his organization “is not what it should be and he faces an uphill battle the rest of the way.”
McGowen’s departure trims the field to five, including Adam Bierman, Michelle Pirone Lambros, Eve Niedergang, Dwaine Williamson and Surinder Paul Sharma. The two winners will run against Republican Lishian "Lisa" Wu in the Nov. 6 general elections.
