Disney In Concert Comes To The Princeton Festival June 9

The Festival Pops Orchestra will perform Disney songs in concert with the original scenes from the movies.

PRINCETON, NJ — Disney songs are infectious. Anyone who’s heard “Let it Go” or “You’re Welcome” will readily admit that those songs have been stuck in their head for the past few months/years. On Friday, June 9 The Princeton Festival is looking to imprint one song after another on your brain.

That night, the festival presents a multi-media pops concert that hits all the great Disney songs from over the years. “Disney in Concert: Around the World” combines live music by the Festival Pops Orchestra with scenes from the films shown on the big screen.

The concert begins at 8 p.m. in Richardson Hall on the Princeton University campus.In the first half, there will be music from “The Little Mermaid,” “Pocahontas,” “Mary Poppins,” and “Beauty and the Beast.” After intermission, the audience will enjoy selections from “Frozen,” “Aladdin,” “Mulan,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” and “The Lion King.”

Much of the magic of Disney films is in their music and here is a chance to experience it live while watching the original film scenes. Brian Eads will conduct the orchestra, and Sarah Pelletier will narrate the performance.

“Disney in Concert” will be The Princeton Festival’s first pops concert. There will be a special Family Package allowing the purchase of two tickets at $15 each for children and students under 18 with the purchase of one adult ticket.
