Elections 2016: 5 Running for 3 Open Seats on Princeton BOE

None of the incumbent board members filed to run for re-election, so who's pursuing the seats?

Princeton, NJ -- None of the three members of the Princeton School District’s Board of Education who are up for re-election filed petitions to run in the Nov. 8 elections by Monday’s deadline, according to the county clerk’s office and the school district’s website.

The terms of Board President Andrea Spalla and Board Members Molly Chrein and Tom Hagedorn are all set to expire at the end of the year, but none of them filed to run for another three-year term.

The five candidates who did file to run in November includes:
  • William D. Hare;
  • Deborah "Debbie" Bronfeld;
  • Gregory M. Stankiewicz;
  • Ravi Bala; and
  • John Alexander Martin.
Friday, July 29, is the deadline to challenge a candidate’s petition.
