Elections 2016: Who's On The Ballot, Where Do I Vote In Princeton?

Princeton, NJ -- The big day is here.
Polls opened at 6 a.m. in the long-awaited elections, highlighted by the presidential election between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump. Polls close at 8 p.m.
There are also two statewide ballot questions, one concerning whether or not revenue generated by the 23 cent gas tax increase should be dedicated for Transportation Trust Fund and the second on whether or not casinos should be built in North Jersey.

Princeton Mayor Liz Lempert, a Democrat, is being challenged for her seat by Republican Peter Marks.

Councilwoman Jenny Crumiller and Tim Quinn will run unopposed for two, four-year council seats.
Debbie Bronfeld, Bill Hare, Alex Martin and Gregory Stankiewicz are all running for three seats on the Princeton Public School District’s Board of Education.
Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-12) is being challenged for her Congressional seats by an array of challengers, including Republican Steven Uccio, Robert Shapiro, Edward Forchion, Michael Bollentin, Steven Welzer and Thomas Fitzpatrick.
Mercer County Freeholder Andrew Koontz and candidate Anthony Verelli, both Democrats, will face Republicans Andrew Curcio and Jason DeFrancesco for two open, three-year seats.
Mercer County Surrogate Diane Gerofsky, a Democrat, will attempt to win another five-year term against Republican challenger David Boyne.
About 350 Deputy Attorneys General (DAsG) will be assigned throughout the state on Election Day to help ensure a fair and smooth-running election, and to assist county election officials in resolving voting-related legal issues, according to Attorney General Christopher S. Porrino.
DAsG from the Division of Law will be stationed in each of the state’s 21 counties to handle any court applications, and to provide timely legal advice to County Superintendents of Election and Boards of Election on emergent, voting-related matters.

- District #11: Community Park School 372 Witherspoon Street
- District #12: Princeton Engine Co. #1 13 Chestnut Street
- District #13: Hook & Ladder Fire House 25 North Harrison Street
- District #14: Princeton Charter School Gym 100 Bunn Drive
