Fatal Crash In N.J.; Driver Arrested After Hamilton Tragedy

An unlicensed driver was arrested after striking and killing a pedestrian this past week in New Jersey, police said.

An unlicensed driver was arrested after striking and killing a pedestrian this past weekend in New Jersey, police said.

Gabino Renoj Ramos, 53, of Trenton, was hit by a vehicle near the intersection of South Clinton Avenue and Samdin Boulevard around 10:12 p.m. Saturday in Hamilton, his family said.

The Trentonian reported that 48-year-old Armando Alvarez was driving a 1999 Mitsubishi westbound on South Clinton when he hit Ramos, who was in the roadway. Alvarez has been charged with causing death while operating a motor vehicle while unlicensed.

Ramos’s family told reporters he was an avid photographer. “He was a very hard worker and passionate about photography,” his nephew of the same name told The Trentonian. “He will truly be miss.”

Also, the report said Ramos’s family said he lived by the following quote by the late photographer and educator Aaron Siskind:
