Fight Breaks Out, Princeton Man Charged With Assault

Princeton Police also reported making arrests for driving while intoxicated and outstanding warrants recently.

PRINCETON, NJ — A Princeton man was charged with assault after a fight broke out in town, police said.

On Nov. 16 at 1:44 a.m. Princeton Police went to the 200 block of Nassau Street for a fight in progress.

[Name Withheld], 22, of Princeton was arrested after the fight for simple assault and disorderly conduct, police said.

He was later released on his own recognizance.

On Nov. 14 at 3:36 p.m.: A business on Paul Robeson Place reported that someone forged a check in their company’s name for $6,431.55 and then deposited the funds into another account through a mobile app.

On Nov. 15 at 2:52 a.m.: Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop for speeding on Chambers Street, the driver, Jose Cotoc-Sanchez, 28, of Round Lake Beach, Illinois was found to be driving while intoxicated. Cotoc-Sanchez was placed under arrest and later released to a sober adult.

On Nov. 15 at 4:03 p.m.: Subsequent to a pedestrian stop on Palmer Square, Kimbryl Beasley, 50, of Trenton was found to be a wanted person by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office. Beasley was placed under arrest and later turned over to Mercer County Sheriff’s officers.
