Forged Check Costs Princeton Local $26K
A bike was also stolen from an unlocked Princeton garage recently.
PRINCETON, NJ — Forgery, DWI, shoplifting and more were reported recently in Princeton.
Princeton Police blotter:
On July 12 at 4:31 p.m.: A Grover Avenue resident reported that an someone forged a check they had written for $420, which was meant for their landscaper. The suspect was then able to cash the check in the amount of $26,760. The victim suffered a monetary loss in that amount.

On July 13 at 1:13 a.m.: Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop for speeding and failing to maintain lane, Chakravar Thathaiyangarpatti, 54, of Hillsborough was found to be driving while intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and later released with several summonses.
On July 14 at 12:29 a.m.: Subsequent to a 911 call regarding an unlicensed driver,the caller, Michael Boisselle, 38, of Lawrence Township was found to be a New Jersey Wanted Person for nonpayment of child support. Boisselle was placed under arrest and transported to Mercer County Correctional Center.

On July 14 at 12:03 p.m.: A resident in the 900 block of Princeton-Kingston Road reported that sometime in the past week, someone entered their unlocked garage and stole their black Trek mountain bicycle. The bicycle and attached lock were reportedly valued at$485.
On July 14 at 3:25 p.m.: The complainant on Nassau Street reported that at 3:20 p.m., an older, heavyset white man with facial hair stole a sport coat from the store which was valued at $895. The man then exited the store and headed east on Nassau Street.
On July 14: The complainant on Nassau Street reported that at 12:30 p.m., an unknown black man stole a bottle of cologne from the store as well as an employee’s cell phone which was left on the counter. The cologne was valued at $95 and the phone was valued at $60.
