Former Princeton Uni. Basketball Coach Peter Carril Dies At 92
Carril guided the Tigers to 514 wins, 13 Ivy League championships and 11 NCAA Tournament appearances.

PRINCETON, NJ — Former Princeton University men's basketball coach Peter J. Carril died Monday at age 92, the University announced.
"The Carril family is sad to report that Coach Peter J. Carril passed away peacefully this morning. We kindly ask that you please respect our privacy at this time as we process our loss and handle necessary arrangements. More information will be forthcoming in the following days," the University posted on their athletics page.
Carril led the Tigers from 1967-96. He guided the team to 514 wins, 13 Ivy League championships and 11 NCAA Tournament appearances.

He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1998
After coaching at Princeton University, Carril moved to the NBA where he served as an assistant coach for the Sacramento Kings. He retired from coaching in 2011.
