Fraud, Theft Highlight Princeton Police Report

Princeton police release their activity report.

PRINCETON, NJ — The following information was provided by the Princeton Police Department. All incidents are merely accusations. Those accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Eric Cubler, 37, of Marcus Hook, PA., was found to have two active warrants, one from Southampton Municipal Court and the other from Medford Municipal Court in the amounts of $215 and $114, respectively, following a traffic stop for a seat belt violation on the 100 block of Washington Road on July 26 at 10:42 a.m. Cubler was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where he was he was processed and released on his own recognizance by the courts.

90 feet of copper piping was cut and stolen from the basement of a home on the 100 block of Crestview Avenue sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on July 26. The front and rear doors of the property were closed but unlocked at the time of the incident.

Hubert Moriah, 20, of Trenton, was arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams after he was stopped for “J” walking and littering on the 100 block of University Place on July 25 at 10:54 p.m. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued a complaint summons and released on his own recognizance.

A victim reported being defrauded out of aboug $85,000. Unknown actor(s) created a fake email address that closely resembled that of the victim. Using the fake email address, the actor contacted the victim’s financial advisor requesting, and subsequently receiving, a wire transfer in the amount of $85,430.91 from the victim’s investment account.
